Our final summer event of the year took place on Sunday, and we certainly went out with a bang.

🎻Gill Wadeson was incredible, the atmosphere was brilliant and it was such a lovely way to round off a summer of events by Ullswater.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us throughout summer — we’ve loved having you!

Keep an eye out for next year’s summer event dates, coming in early January. 👀

Make the most of the school holidays with relaxed family dining at Ramblers Bar in Glenridding.

Available throughout July and August, our Family Fried Chicken Feast is designed for two adults and two children to share. Enjoy a generous spread of Southern fried chicken, house slaw, grilled corn, skinny fries and tasty dipping sauces for £44.

While the grown-ups relax, the little ones can burn off some energy in our outdoor playground — perfect for an easy family meal after a day exploring Ullswater, Glenridding, and the surrounding fells.

Enjoy a car-free stay beside Ullswater 🚌⛰️

Catch the train to Penrith Railway Station, hop aboard the 508 bus and step off in Glenridding, right outside Inn on the Lake. It couldn’t be easier to reach us without the car.

Once you’ve settled in, use the 508 or selected 509 services to explore more of the Ullswater Valley, including Aira Force and Pooley Bridge. From Aira Force, you can change onto the Ullswater Hopper for destinations such as Howtown, Askham and Lowther Castle.

You could even walk part of the Ullswater Way before catching the bus back to Glenridding for dinner, drinks and a relaxing evening overlooking the lake.
