Established in 1870, Friar Tuck's Inn has been welcoming guests for over 150 years, providing cold beer, hot food and warm beds. Friar Tuck’s Inn has been subject to many historical changes, with the Inn as you know it not always being as it is now. Once known as the ‘Plough Hotel’, it was renamed in 1988 to 'Friar Tuck’s'. However, before that, it was known as the ‘Boat Inn’, operating as a beer
house and inn. Built along the Roman road, now known as Bristol Road, Friar Tuck’s Inn has become a historical feature of this ever-changing parish.

We will have a specials menu. The bar will be fully stocked with draft beers, real ales, draft ciders, stout, lagers, bottled beers, spirits, wines and minerals. Fresh tea and coffee is available all day, served by one of our well trained baristas. Full English or continental breakfast is available to non-residents, served between 7:30am until 11:30am. Take-way baps and coffees are available too. Family hour will be available between 16:00 until 18:25. This will include a main course and unlimited soft drinks for the children (aged 12 and under) for only £6.25 per person. Our senior citizens menu will be available between 12noon and 17:00. Our full menu is available Monday - Saturday from 12noon until 21:00. We have a daily-changing specials menu using fresh seasonal produce. Our traditional Sunday lunch will be served 12noon and 15:00. Live entertainment will be on each Saturday evening. Watch this space for events.
