Hi everyone
I have taken two cancellations.
One is for May Spring Bank holiday. I would be looking for a 3 night booking please arriving on Friday 22nd May.
I also have a pitch available for Monday 25th May(different pitch ) this pitch is available for up to 5 nights. You choose when to arrive and how many nights you might like.

Happy May Bank Holiday to everyone.
Beautiful this morning walking in the woods at the side of the site. That deer stood so still. Hanks getting old ... he didn't even see it 😃

I'm so happy to see a frog in the new small pond in the garden on opposite pitch 6,7 & 8 It was only developed for about a year! so it's great to see it's become a home already. The pond plants have new growth so they must be happy in there also.

When the grass ( and flowers ) are greener on the other side of the gate !! the forest sheep will get in. Lucky for me they were spotted before they ate all the buds of the plants. I did have to go around and pick up the little presents the 'dropped' behind them ... they weren't Easter Eggs !!!! 😂😂

Hank and I walked the 'China Bottom' walk today. It starts at the site gates. Here are some of the things we saw. I missed the Muntjac it ran off before having its photo taken !! The cave entrance is one of many where the cavers start. The mine entrance and shed were once a fully working coal mine.

Have very kindly said they will supply FREE treats to all dogs that visit me here at Hawthorne Cottage. Hank has sampled them and gives them a big PAWS up.🐾🐕🐕‍🦺
They will be kept in the washing up room. Just help yourselves.

Some of you will know ( if you rang to book a pitch!) I closed the site this week to have part of the driveway resurfaced. Well it's complete and I'm open again two days earlier than planned which is brilliant. The other half (top half) of the drive is on the 'To do' list! I need to save a few more pennies! 😂but we have made a start.
I look forward to seeing you all in the months ahead.
