After 5 amazing years, it’s time to say goodbye to our wonderful team member, Tessa! ❤️

Tessa has worked so hard during her time with us and has been an absolute pleasure to have as part of our team. She’s brought so much to our pub over the years, it certainly won’t be the same without her

Why is the pub called The Royal Exchange? 👑

It’s a question we are asked all the time… so here’s the story! 📖

Our pub was established in 1855 and the history of the building goes back further….

It is said that this is the very site where the Cavalier and Roundhead prisoners were exchanged during the English Civil War, giving our pub it’s rather fitting name The Royal Exchange

Next time you are enjoying a pint with us, take a moment to look around…. You are sitting in a place with a fascinating story to tell🍻

We are incredibly lucky to have such wonderful locals who share the fruits (and vegetables!) of their labour with us. From homegrown produce to goodies from their allotments, your generosity never goes unnoticed 🌱🍅🪴🥒

🍎🫐 Chef Marcus has been caught foraging in the garden this morning 🫐🍎

He’s been raiding our very own selection of delicious fruits, he’s come back with a lovely haul of plums, apples & blackberries 👀

But now we have a very important question….
