We are delighted to announce that it has been agreed between the GWSR and West Coast Railway Co that BR Black 5 No. 45110 will stay in The Cotswolds for a further six months.

There will be plenty of opportunities to ride behind this locomotive that has made a return to service recently.

Berkeley Castle opened its doors to visitors 70 years ago, so on Sunday 14th June we are having a party to celebrate!

Like any good party we will have music and singing. Visitors can explore a special display of guidebooks through the years and pick up a commemorative pamphlet featuring stories from the castle’s opening in 1956.

We want all of Berkeley to celebrate with us, so we are offering free entry to everyone with a Berkeley address – however please do book via the website. Tickets go live on Friday 29th May.

Come and join in with our special day and celebrate the wonderful Berkeley Castle 🏰
