A shadowy figure on the upper floors.

Guests and paranormal investigators have reported seeing what appears to be a man in dark clothing, particularly around the Oak Suite.

Some describe seeing a figure briefly before it disappears.

Others haven't actually seen anything at all — but have described the unmistakable feeling that someone else was in the room.

And when similar experiences are reported by different people over the years… well, it certainly makes you wonder. 👀

Of course, there could be perfectly ordinary explanations. Shadows, reflections, tiredness, an unexpected movement in an old building…

Or perhaps there's another explanation.

🍺👻 THE FLYING PINT…

One of The New Inn's strangest stories dates back to 2010.

A pint was sitting on a table when, apparently without anyone nearby, it moved and fell to the floor.

What makes this particular story even stranger?

CCTV captured it.

The footage appeared to show the full pint glass moving from the table and falling, despite nobody being close enough to explain what happened.

Several people reportedly witnessed the incident, and to this day there has been no agreed explanation for what happened.

Was it something completely ordinary that simply wasn't caught on camera?

Or… was there something else at work? 👀

You decide.

And this is just one of the stories that has become part of The New Inn's strange history…
