The Ben, is a small inn type hotel, situated directly on the A9, being a stone's throw from the number one attraction DunRobin Castle and is situated at the start of the beach walk to the castle. There are a number of attractions in Golspie including having the longest downhill bike trail in the UK, known as the Highland Wildcat. And approx 500 metres away is the start of the Big Burn Walk with it
s own waterfall. The Ben Bhraggie hotel is known to the locals as The Ben and our customers are both local and repeat customers from out with the region. We are popular with the mountain bikers who prefer our relaxed and informal hospitality. We consider you as guests in our home, rather than in an establishment i.e. we want you to feel at home and enjoy the experience of being our guests. We were the first to offer free broadband access in the region, and many delight in stopping in for the use of the internet as well as a bit of banter and a light snack. The menu varies from standard menu items, to special menu items, and there is a broad variety on offer. It is also possible to request items not on the menu. The cook is always ready to oblige and desires that our guests enjoy the quality of food prepared. Quality is never skimped upon! We only use what we consider best quality. The Ben is a very affordable place to base yourself in your travels around the North of the Highlands. We accommodate groups up to 14 persons. We are also happy to offer a good deal on Bed, Breakfast and Dinner, and, on longer stays where required. This option is usually more suited to the quieter months. We are normally closed from the second week in January till the end of January, for holiday purposes. During the winter season, we open as a B and B, and dinner and bar in the evenings.
