We just 😍 Fiona’s Wholefoods & Refills and we know you'll love them too. A fiercely independent business with a fabulous ethos and tasty coffee and sweet treats to boot. We have been eyeing up some of their cereals for breakfast and are grateful for tasty pinhead oatmeal they sell. If you are looking for a place to rest up after a lovely local walk...pop on in to see them!

We love this picture of Strathallan House as a 'new build' in 1904.

We just adore all of our original features, including the fireplaces, call bells (for your servants obvs!), plaster work and wooden staircase to name but a few. Luckily we have modernized in all the right places.

I'm also interested in what AI thought I would look like in that era...a little sombre but I'm loving the hat!

Fancy doing something a little different during your stay at Strathallan? I can highly recommend Smuggler's Sauna at Rothiemurchus Enjoy the converted horse box/sauna sitting on the bank of the beautiful Loch en Eilein, take a swim in the loch or a quick splash in little dipping pond. I enjoyed a picnic with friends afterwards and took in the stunning scenery. Book ahead to avoid disappointment!

Along a windy road and not too far away from Strathallan. You will find the Dell of Abernethy. A wonderful place with lots of events happening to suit everyone.

You can enjoy yoga, meditation, drinks with friends, watch a play and so much more.

There are so many trails that can lead you through forests, over mountains and around lochs and streams. They can be waymarked or require your compass reading skills. Some have steep climbs or follow undulating pathways.

For tips on walking routes you can visit Walkhighlands and AllTrails for lots of wonderful route ideas.

After skipping across stones or taking an unexpected detour, you'll always have Strathallan Guest House to return to and rest those feet.

The Speyside Way is a breathtaking trail. Journey between the beautiful coast at Buckie, through into the Cairngorms. Many walkers and cyclists have rested their weary legs at Strathallan along this glorious route. There's always a warm and friendly welcome waiting for you here. ❤️

Another wonderful concept to add to my 'must try' list. Our wonderful ancient forests, streams, rivers, lochs and mountains offer a catharsis I can't explain. I can't wait to try 'forest bathing' and many of the other delightful concepts from Highland Quietlife . What a fabulous way to engage with nature.
