Happy National Fish and Chips Day! And we may be biased, but we think ours is the best. There is a reason why it’s the nation’s favourite dish and is probably the only dish that has featured on every single one of Tweedies menu’s since we opened in 2004! Perfect with a pint, why not treat yourself this weekend!

At last some decent weather has arrived in the Lakes and we are taking full advantage of it! Just one of the many fantastic walks you can do from Grasmere and one of our personal favourites, Helm Crag also known as the Lion and the Lamb.

Happy New Menu Day!! We are super excited about our Spring Menu, loads of delicious new dishes on there including Lobster Mac and Cheese and Oyster Mushroom Tacos, with gorgeous Summery Salads, Tempura King Prawns and a Coconut Chicken Curry all giving sunshine vibes. Plus your favourite pub classics Fish and Chips, Cumberland Sausage and Mash and Chicken in a Basket. Oh and the Steak is back!!! Make sure you come and give it a try and let us know what you think!

Happy Bank holiday weekend folks! The Pub and Restaurant is open as normal, it’s a busy one so bookings are required. Don’t forget we have live music tonight from and Quiz night tomorrow The Hatch will be open today and tomorrow serving homemade Pizza 🍕 and I think the sun might just be trying to break through 😊💛

Really pleased with our new floral arrangement from 💛 We wanted to include some hops as it seems apt and they didn’t disappoint! Just in time for the Easter weekend!

We had a wonderful staff training session a few weeks ago with Ben from EWGA Wines ensuring that the whole team know their stuff! Perks of the job but we got to try a fair bit too!
