Hello friends,
We hope you’ve been enjoying the sun this bank holiday.
We just wanted to pop on with a little note from us, because the last few weeks at The Yan have been a bit of a lot.
Not in a dramatic way. More in a “small family-run business in the Lakes trying to grow, train people, launch a new menu, cover surgery, manage childcare and still get everyone fed” kind of way.
So yes. A bit chaotic.
We’ve had people step into new roles, welcomed new team members and had Gee temporarily step back from the day-to-day while she recovers from long-awaited carpal tunnel surgery.
And because this is The Yan, not a glossy chain with a head office and a crisis team, you may have felt some of that change around the edges.
A slower reply. A team finding its rhythm. A service that maybe didn’t feel quite as smooth as usual.
We’ve noticed it too.
But the heart of The Yan is still very much here. The food still matters. The rooms still matter. The welcome still matters. And the team really does care.
So this is just a proper thank you for being patient with us while we move through a season of change.
We’re proud of where The Yan is heading, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming you back with the same heart, just hopefully a little more rhythm again.
Team Yan x
