DURATION ON ROTATION THIS SUMMER

Change in the weather, change on the taps.

We’ve switched up our Duration rotation to match the current situation — something a little more suited to these cooler days.

ROCKIN’ CHAIRS (SPECIAL)
West Coast Pale | 4.3%

A collab with Polly’s, pouring bright amber with pine and resin aromas, a citrus zing and warm biscuit notes. Dry, snappy and bitter on the finish.

Basically, the weather changed. So did the beer.

Well, this is a rather lovely boost for the Bank Holiday weekend! 🍾

We’re absolutely thrilled to find out that The Dabbling Duck is a finalist in TWO categories at the Norfolk & Suffolk Food & Drink Awards 2026:

PUB/BAR OF THE YEAR
RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR

Hospitality is a tough industry to be in at the moment, so awards like these really matter. For us, it’s not just about winning — it’s about championing the sector, celebrating the brilliant people who work in it and recognising the pubs and restaurants that keep showing up every day.

The finals aren’t for another couple of weeks and we’re in some seriously good company, so just to be nominated in both categories feels pretty special.

A huge thank you to our brilliant team, and to everyone who continues to eat, drink, stay and support us.

Now, fingers crossed! 🤞🍻

Even on a rainy day, the Barn is still a vibe.

All set and waiting for guests to arrive for a post-wedding gathering — wood-fired pizza, drinks, and a relaxed afternoon with friends and family.

We have a range of rooms to suit every stay, but our cosy Pub Rooms, with wrought-iron beds and views over the village green, are perfect for a little Norfolk escape.

DID YOU KNOW?

All our beef comes from Raynham Estate, just a few miles up the road from The Dabbling Duck.

We buy the whole beast — Aberdeen Angus cattle — which Head Chef Dale then butchers here on site. It means we can make use of the different cuts across our menus, use as much of the animal as possible and keep waste to a minimum.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a close relationship with Raynham. Knowing exactly where our beef comes from matters to us — and being so close means we can see first-hand the care, welfare and upbringing of the cattle.

Properly local. Properly looked after. And butchered right here at The Dabbling Duck.

WHAT MAKES THE DUCK… THE DUCK? 🦆

We’d love to hear it from you.

What makes The Dabbling Duck different?
What keeps you coming back?
Is it the food, the atmosphere, the team, the village, the garden… or something completely different?

Tell us in the comments below and we’ll pick one person to enjoy Sunday roast for two, on us.

We might even share some of our favourite answers — because sometimes our customers can describe the Duck better than we can.

And please keep it nice, it's not a chance to say everything you dont like!

Well, we never thought us Brits would say this… but we’re actually looking forward to those rain clouds rolling in. 🌧️

Harvest is in, the fields are golden and we’re somehow halfway through August already.

It’s a busy one at the Duck, so if you’re heading our way, make sure you book a table.

August in Norfolk. 🌾

DURATION ON ROTATION — NEXT UP 🍺

WHERE THE BUFFALO ROAM | Pale Ale | 5.2%

Next on tap in our DURATION ON ROTATION series this summer.

A bold, hazy pale ale bursting with vibrant citrus and passionfruit. Inspired by freedom and wide-open spaces — this one was made for long summer days and drinking under big Norfolk skies.

On the bar now. Get it while it lasts.

We’re proud to announce that our chosen charity for this year is the East Anglian Air Ambulance . 💛🚁

This charity is particularly close to the village’s heart after their lifesaving crews were needed twice in our community last year.

We kicked things off (no pun intended!) by presenting a cheque for £900, raised by our brilliant locals during the Six Nations earlier this year.

Every person who donated signed the rugby ball, which will now be proudly displayed in the pub as a reminder of what our community can achieve together.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to raising even more for this incredible charity over the coming year.
