Message from Haven reference to safety on park.
Hot weather = high fire risk
Let’s keep our parks safe together
We’re in for a sunny weekend – with this hot and dry weather, the risk of fire is higher than usual.
Please help us keep everyone safe by being extra careful around the park. Discarded cigarette butts, glass bottles, tin cans and especially BBQs can all pose a risk of fire.
Due to the hot weather expected this weekend, we’re kindly asking all guests to be extremely careful when using BBQs at our parks.
A few BBQ safety reminders
Place the BBQ well away from anything flammable (trees, shrubs, decking, fencing, or tents).
Never light a BBQ or fire in an enclosed space.
If using a disposable BBQ, place it on a flat, non-flammable surface (bricks or concrete are good; dry grass is not).
Never use petrol, paraffin, or white spirit to start or improve the fire.
Once lit, stay with your BBQ at all times and never leave it unattended.
Keep a bucket of water or sand nearby in case you need to put it out quickly.
Once finished, make sure it’s completely cool before disposing of it.
Thanks so much for your understanding, we really appreciate your support in keeping our park safe for everyone.
High risk areas
If you're staying on a park in a very high fire risk area, local fire service advice may mean BBQs aren't allowed for safety reasons.
Please keep an eye out for signs on park or a text from our team, and if BBQs are paused, we kindly ask that you do not light any.
Thanks for helping us keep everyone safe.
