HAPPY BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY TO OUR WONDERFUL OWNERS!
I hope you have had a fabulous six weeks and are looking forward to our last couple of months of the season, where we have lots of exciting festivities planned.
I have had some meetings recently with Owners who have kindly given me and my team some feedback of their 2026 season, what they have loved and how they feel it would have been even better.
One disappointment that appears to have been shared by all is that we didn't man the entrance barrier mid-week during the evening as we had in previous years. Our aim was to ensure that this was manned during peak but struggled to fill the vacancy for such a short period. I would just like to take this opportunity to let you know that we are listening, and based on this feedback we are doing our utmost to cover this shift seven days a week for the rest of the season.
We have also taken a look at our Owners Calendar and in particular our activities. Thanks again for giving us your feedback. Based on this, Ben is going to get creative with the creative sessions, with some brand new activities planned for September and October half term! We are also looking into the possibility of swapping activities with our sister parks, to bring some variety to our Owners calendar.
Please remember that our experience team welcome your ideas and suggestions and my leadership team and I are always available to hear how you are feeling and how we can ensure your time on here at our beautiful Wild Duck is a positive one.
There is a suggestion box in our Merry Mallard, which we empty weekly, but of late has not been used. Actually, there was a request for hot chocolate in the owners lounge and I've asked the team to look into this! Perhaps for the winter months!
I am going to be on holiday for the next couple of weeks, but just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you all for supporting our park and venues over the season so far, and to wish you a happy last week of the summer holidays.
I'll be back in the office on 20th September, so please remember I have an open door policy and happy to meet with you at any time to discuss your ownership at Wild Duck. Angela, Emma and Steve will be here to support you all while I'm away and I take this opportunity to thank them, and their amazing teams publicly, for all their hard work and efforts over the last six weeks!
And finally, I'm looking forward to our Autumn Season and in particular, planning of my end of season 'Maz's Christmas Night' on 21st November to celebrate the 2026 season with you all, so don't book your drain downs too early!
Best wishes
Maz Howard
