The largest of the Castletoun courtyard cottages — sleeping six, with a bookable hot tub and sauna, and the Blackadder River beyond the garden wall.
Set within the open courtyard of the historic Castletoun estate, Stable Yard Cottage is a spaciously refurbished three-bedroom cottage with a pleasing mix of contemporary and period furniture and sunny, south-facing views across the Blackadder River to Greenlaw Mill Farm. All three bedrooms and bathrooms sit upstairs, leaving the full ground floor open as kitchen and living space — a layout that works particularly well for families and groups.
The Castletoun hot tub and sauna can be booked exclusively by the day for £30 — robes and towels included. Edinburgh is under an hour for a city day out. The Borders Abbeys Way, Floors Castle, and the wide open landscapes of the Tweed Valley are all on the doorstep. For larger gatherings, the three Castletoun cottages together accommodate up to 14 guests.
