🌿 Opening tomorrow, discover the beauty of nature through stitch and fabric at the Botanical Bounty exhibition in the Chapter House, running until Sunday 21 June.

Presented by Lincolnshire Textiles, this exhibition showcases a stunning collection of embroidery and textile art inspired by the natural world. Leaves, flowers, seeds and organic forms are explored through traditional embroidery, mixed media and experimental textile techniques. While some pieces draw on established traditions, others push materials and processes in new directions, demonstrating how textile practice continues to evolve.

✨ This exhibition is included in your admission, so make sure you stop by and see it for yourself!

😎Next week it's the Lincolnshire Show and once again we are joining our fellow Lincolnshire councils colleagues in the Greater Lincolnshire Councils marquee.

Located near the 🎡Big Wheel so easy to spot, the marquee's theme this year is 'Lincolnshire Through Time'. Discover Roman, Viking, Medieval and Victorian eras with exciting displays and activities.

We'll be in the Victorian area with our Victorian Seaside display, showcasing Cleethorpes and the wider North East Lincolnshire. Children and school groups (and adults!) can take part in our giant colouring in activity, grown ups can enter our fabulous competition to win lots of lovely goodies including vouchers for Fish & Chips, a stunning piece of artwork by local artist Vanessa Whittleton, tickets for the Fishing Heritage Centre and a train ride for the family from Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway. Plus we'll have lots of giveaways including our popular Love Cleethorpes bags.

We get very excited by flowers at Hunger Hill CL - Caravan Site, Cleethorpes . Three or four years ago we joined the No Mow May campaign on some of our lawns. We found bee orchids arrived. They stayed on the right inside the site gate for three years. This year there were none to seen there.

Then there they were - nearer the kiosk on the grass area we had left unmown! You have to look carefully but there they are. Great news!

Other flowers are found on the farm walks and in the woods.
