Baby calves snoozing in the shade while their Mums are busy eating.

We are having to feed this years hay already as there isn’t the grass available due to the drought. 🤞we will have a bit of rain this week so the grass will start to grow again.

A nice surprise this morning to see that Mayflower, one of our Limousin cows calved in the early hours. We made sure that the calf was feeding properly as calves need colostrum within 3 hours of being born.

After a lovely long summer and a bit of rain thankfully in the forecast we have started reseeding and tilling forage r**e to feed our cattle during the winter.

Our first Autumn calf born this weekend. A beautiful bull calf for this Hereford cow. 🐮

A nice little visit to Polperro this afternoon. A lovely little fishing village with a beach good for rock pooling and sea glass collecting. 🐟
If you are feeling adventurous you can walk the coastal path to Talland Bay and Looe.
The village and harbour area are accessible for wheelchairs.
Great ice cream shops too 🍦😃

One way to keep the pigs cool in this heat 🥵 They love being splashed with water when it’s this hot.

Matthew using the pin hole projector that he made to view the eclipse. It went fairly dark here like it was about to rain. If only that was the case as we badly need it now.

It’s been a bit too hot for the dogs to visit the beach so we brought the sand to them 😂🐶🏖️

It will actually be used at the base of the cattle sheds ready for winter.
