Welcome to Gwithian Retreats — a small collection of distinctive coastal stays, each offering something different: iconic views, village charm & a shepherd’s hut under the stars, moments from Gwithian beach and coast path. **The Old Farmhouse**
is furnished to a very high standard and is the perfect rural retreat for a family holiday, or to relax near the beach and coast path. The Old Farmhouse is
situated just outside Gwithian village on a peaceful working farm, and enjoys extensive views of the sea and almost 360 degrees of surrounding farmland. Tranquillity is the order of the day, with many guests simply enjoying watching the sky changing colour at sunset, or listening to the skylarks. The farm is a working farm, so occasionally you may see our little old red tractor out and about working but only at sociable times! We currently have a few Jersey cows, who are very lovely. They will want to say hello, and are very curious!
**Parc Place**
is situated in the heart of Gwithian Village, this charming 3 bedroomed detached cottage has been recently refurbished to a high standard, but still in keeping with its traditional roots. Adjacent to other cottages on the hill down to the village centre, it sits near the newly refurbished village pub, and a summer campsite, and just a short walk from Gwithian beach, and the nature reserves. The village is a couple of miles from Hayle and Connor Downs, for shops and other places to eat, and operates as a miniature hub of beach-loving outdoorsy visitors in the summer months. Approaching the front of the property, there is parking for two vehicles, and a well-maintained garden, with a key-safe for entry, as well as pedestrian access to the back garden, so you don’t have to carry surfboards and wetsuits through the house.
**Sunset Retreat**
A traditional Shepherd’s hut that was hand crafted in 2019 with an exceptional standard of décor, sleeping 4 people so perfect for a small family or a couple. You are welcome to bring a small, well behaved dog which should be supervised in the garden, and not left alone in the property at any time. Shepherds’ huts are, by nature, compact, but, with all the comforts of home, this one is a luxurious hideaway, as well as a perfect base for your outdoor adventures. Set in its own gravelled plot, there is ample parking for three vehicles, a picnic bench, and ready access to the beach across the road. The entire plot has a gated entrance, which means it is safe for smaller guests to play, and for dogs. There is an additional external shower so that you can remove sand, mud or salt before you enter the hut, because we know sand gets everywhere!
