The White Swan Hotel is currently recruiting for a breakfast waitress Monday - Friday morning, including some weekends. The position is for 16 hours a week as well as overtime to cover holidays. Duties including stock taking, weekly ordering, serving breakfast to guests, training staff, cleaning/setting tables and washing up. Experience preferred but not necessary as training is provided. The position is to start as soon as possible.

Monday - Friday times 06:30am - 10:30am
If working weekends
Saturday and Sunday times 07:30am-11:30am

16 hours per week

The White Swan Hotel is currently recruiting for a breakfast waiter/waitress to cover Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings. The position is for 12 to 16 hours a week as well as overtime to cover holidays. Duties include serving breakfast, clearing/setting tables and washing up, experience preferred but not necessary as training is provided. The position is to start as soon as possible. The White Swan Hotel is now recruiting for a Receptionist.

We currently have a position available for 30 hours per week. This is shift work and includes evenings and weekends. The duties will include:

To ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times. To complete all relevant procedures in relation to the respective department as laid down by Compass Group.
Deal with bedroom reservations, conference reservations over the phone, in writing or in person.
Checking guests in and out.
Serving customers in the lounge.
Liaise with key departments- in particular Food and Beverage, Housekeeping and Maintenance.
To be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises in order to maximise hotel sales.
Whenever possible to anticipate guest’s needs, to be aware of all written and spoken requests, to carry out these requests in a courteous and helpful manner.
To be fully conversant and able to operate the hotels front office systems. Ensure that all charges are correctly posted to the guests bills following the standard procedures.
Be aware of the hotel availability and that every opportunity to maximise room sales is taken.
Deal with cash and credit transactions in accordance with the hotel and company policy, and to ensure that any discrepancies are reported immediately.
Ensure the float handed over is checked and correct.
Ensure all messages received for guests are passed on accurately and as quickly as possible.
Ensure a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest and special events and where further information can be obtained.
Operate the hotel switchboard and deal with all internal and external calls, according to procedure.
Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook
Comply with company grooming and uniform standards. Comply with time keeping and attendance policies.
Actively participate in training and development programs and maximise opportunities for self development.
Being attentive to guests and accurately and promptly fulfilling guest requests. Understand and anticipate guest needs
Demonstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations
Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
Must be able to cover shift hours 7am – 2.30pm or 2:30pm - 10:00 pm

There may be the opportunity for more hours in the future and overtime.
