Goldfinch Cottage Norfolk Goldfinch is a comfortable spacious self-catering cottage just one mile from the beach at Happisburgh on the Norfolk coast.

Our cottage can accommodate up to 4 people and we are happy to welcome 2 well-behaved dogs. Goldfinch is a detached single storey cottage offering self-catering holiday accommodation for up to 4 people. It is part of the beautifully converted Boundary Stables, a small complex of 5 privately owned holiday properties, with countryside views and a shared grass paddock. Goldfinch is all one level and

therefore suitable for guests who are part time wheelchair users. Accommodation comprises:

2 spacious bedrooms – 1 super king and 1 twin room
Ensuite bathroom with Whirlpool Jet Spa bath
Large wheelchair accessible wet room with WC
Open plan lounge, kitchen, dining space
Bi-fold doors opening onto private courtyard


Facilities include:

Electric oven and hob
Fridge freezer
Dishwasher
Microwave
Washing machine
Iron and ironing board
Underfloor heating
Free wifi
Smart TV and DVD player with stacks of DVDs
Hairdryer
Towels, tea towels and bed linen provided
Blankets to snuggle up in for sitting outside on cooler evenings
Doggie blankets and towels supplied if required


Outside:

The enclosed private courtyard garden has an outdoor table and chairs, arbour and 2 sun loungers. There is also a paddock shared with 4 other cottages where children and dogs can play. Parking for 2 vehicles immediately outside the cottage. Accessibility:

No stairs or steps to enter the cottage
Well lit path to the entrance
Step free path to the entrance
Wide hallways


The cottage is a non-smoking / non-vaping area. Pets are welcome (2 well-behaved dogs upon request).

Looking for comfortable cosy self catering accommodation in Norfolk? Longing for some peace and quiet close to beautiful beaches? This is what my last guests had to say about Goldfinch Cottage.

We had a wonderful four day stay at Goldfinch. The cottage is comfortably furnished and there were plenty of extras like dvds, games, books provided. The superking bed was lovely and there were plenty of pillows and extra blankets. Our dog particularly liked the free treats provided. The courtyard garden was very quiet and it was nice to be able to let the dog out without worrying. There was also a paddock opposite where we could walk him. The cottage was situated down a quiet lane and we enjoyed walking to the nearby beach and lighthouse. All in all it was exceptional value for money and a lovely play to stay and unwind."

"Thank you for a lovely break. What a beautiful cottage! So spacious and well laid out with everything we could need and more. I love the artwork as well and the surrounding area is so peaceful and pretty. My parents have loved it here and I would really like to come another time with my husband. Thank you."

I love it when I can combine a changeover at the cottage and a short break for myself. It doesn't often happen as the cottage is usually booked out.

My guest book was smiling with this lovely message when I arrived.

"Perfect place for complete comfort and relaxation. All we needed available and facilities very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Weather was very good to us. Had time at the East Ruston Old Vicarage gardens - a local must do. Very many thanks for the goodies basket."

A mix of rain and sun in Happisburgh but the Goldfinch courtyard garden and the paddock are looking lush.

My last Air B&B guests wished they'd booked for longer.

"Goldfinch Cottage was the perfect place to stay for a few nights with my elderly parents, the cottage is warm, clean, comfortable and spacious and being step free throughout meant it was easy for them to get around without any problems. My parents and I felt immediately at home in Goldfinch Cottage. We had a wonderful stay, wish we had booked for longer."

Up at Goldfinch Cottage today for a changeover and adding a flyer to my welcome basket.

A friend of mine is organising an amazing festival at Kimberley Hall on 6 June. There will be over 90 artisan and epicurean producers from East Anglia, together with an exciting programme of international live music throughout the day, aerobatic displays, and a contemporary art exhibition in the west wing.
