We had some unexpected visitors in the shower block this morning….

We assume these lambs were picking out a bedtime story from our children’s book shelf!

We still have availability at Merthyr Farm for most dates over the holidays but it’s very limited for the last week of July and the first week of August.

Busy mowing the camping field today in preparation for Merthyr Farm opening for 2025 this coming Friday.
Lots of work this week clearing up the farm after the busy lambing and calving season- ready to welcome campers for another year.

We still have availability throughout the season including a few spots still available for half term week (23rd-31st May)

First mow of the season done. Busy week getting ready for the site opening on Friday!

We are full on site for the BH weekend but have a couple of pitches available during half term week from Monday 27/5 onwards.

We have fire pits available to rent now, along with bags of logs for sale 🔥

We should have enough for anyone that wants one, but if you’d like to reserve one for your booking please drop us an email 😊

Edit to add: You are more than welcome to bring your own firepits- but these must be sufficently raised off the ground so that the grass is not burnt

The grasshoppers are loving this very hot, very dry weather! We are hearing and seeing them much more than normal this year. It’s interesting to see how recently they’ve changed colour from green to brown/yellow to blend with the burnt grass.

It has been great camping weather, but worrying weather for farmers
