Look to the skies over Harlech tomorrow!
Something rather special is happening tomorrow evening…
On Wednesday 12 August, a spectacular solar eclipse will be visible across Wales – and here in Harlech we should be treated to an incredible view, weather permitting!
At its peak at around 7:10pm, approximately 93% of the Sun will be obscured by the Moon, creating one of the most impressive partial solar eclipses visible from Wales in years.
And where better to watch the skies than Harlech? 💙
With our beautiful west-facing coastline, wide horizons and views out across Cardigan Bay, tomorrow evening could be one to remember.
🌑 Eclipse begins: around 6:15pm
🌞 Maximum eclipse: around 7:10pm
🌑 Eclipse ends: shortly after 8pm
If you’re in Harlech tomorrow, find yourself a good viewpoint, keep your fingers crossed for clear skies – and don’t forget your proper solar eclipse glasses. Never look directly at the Sun without certified eye protection.
