The lovely Marie Morrison from our Guest Team was at Amhuinnsuidhe Castle yesterday, serving reception drinks at the Reasort Estates fundraiser in aid of the local Macmillan Cancer Support group.

Marie poured more than 40 Isle of Harris Gin & Tonics, alongside 20 Isle of Harris Single Malt Whisky cocktails and a selection of drams. She received a wonderfully warm welcome, and everyone she spoke to was delighted to see the Distillery supporting the event.

The fundraiser also featured a silent auction with some exceptional prizes, including a seven-night stay at Amhuinnsuidhe Castle and weekend stays at the estate and lodge. A prize draw included gifts and vouchers from local businesses, including the Harris Hotel and Essence of Harris.

More than £18,000 has already been raised, with donations still coming in...a fantastic result for an important local cause.

A wonderful afternoon in a spectacular setting. Slàinte!

For a special occasion or a super treat I can only say that the quality of the food at Scarista House is exceptional. Every detail perfect……with fish last night from Stornoway’s Islander Shellfish. With a view of the sea to compliment the experience, it honestly is an evening to remember.

Perhaps it’s an island thing, but some of our biggest treats can be found roadside!! For the best coffee on Harris and a great pizza…..try this 😊
