Some of the things that are important to us when we book a self-catering place so we've made sure are available to our guests here at Moorfield.
A cupboard full of pantry basics.
Fancy driving 500 miles and there's not a teabag for a cuppa or a bit of salt and pepper. We give you tea, coffee, sugar, butter, cooking oil, olive oil, condiments, herbs & spices, fresh milk, home baked bread . . . etc
Colour coordinated towels.
Green for you, blue for the other one.
Is this white towel yours or is that white towel mine?
No such dilemma here.
Plenty of everything.
Toilet rolls; tea-towels; bin bags; sandwich bags; washing up liquid, laundry detergent.
Nothing as annoying as finding somewhere with a washing machine but having to buy a whole box of laundry detergent for 2 or 3 loads. And no rationing of essentials, either.
A sofa each.
Flopping with your feet up after a hard day on the beach is what holidays are about.
A meal with a view.
Just look at that view. It changes hourly, daily, weekly, seasonally....just gorgeous.
A dark, quiet comfortable bedroom.
Many people have remarked that it's the most comfortable bed they've ever slept it. We only use 100% French linen bedding.
An interesting bookshelf.
All those books you're dying to read through in shops there for you to peruse at your leisure. And loads of maps.
And there are always plenty of sharp knives, chopping boards, corkscrews, bottle openers, glasses, cups, pans, dishes - we've even bought a slow-cooker after realising many brought one with them. And you never have to pay for extra heating or internet usage.
It's not a bad place to spend a week or so is it?
Fully booked up until the end of November but several high season weeks left for summer 2027 - and that's another thing - it's the same price throughout the season. £850 a week from the weekend the clocks go forward until the clocks go back.
In the winter we charge per night with plenty of room for price negotiation depending on how long you fancy staying.
