If your looking for a place to stay this is it… a beautifully converted 17th century mansion with stylish rooms & suites literally like The Chapel I had!
Smack in the centre of town with an amazing gallery below….whats not to like!

I’ve landed in Arles..I haven’t cut my ear off yet but it’s only Wednesday! 🎩🍷🤣

There’s a fantastic drawing fair on here every year and it’s on for a month 18th April-May 17th there are so so many exhibitions to see it’s bonkers,old shops and public buildings are opened up and used as exhibition spaces it’s great.
The best part is for the ticket price of 24 Euros you get to see absolutely everything…you could spend a week here just taking it all in…between lunch, dinner and a few apéritifs!

Pic 8/9 Outside the DeNode Foundation building they are piling the old street with concrete to strengthen it so it doesn’t give way into the river…a 2 year project painful but needs doing long term!

Thank you to Professor Freddy Decreus a classical philologist and scholar at Ghent University,Freddy has dedicated much of his work to theatre history,ritual performance,mythology and the contemporary reinterpretation of classical forms.
He gave a unique perspective on the evening’s discussion on ritual,performance and the instability of image making today.

This bar is right in the antiques/vintage area. Already becoming gentrified as they’ve been restoring the monumental Justices Palace near by for years.

Art Rotterdam…always a great fair packed with enthusiasm,energy,collectors and 30k visitors! What’s not to like!

Made some new friends & met some great artists/new galleries!

The last 8 shots the ever changing view from my room as I opened & closed the curtains….The Boijmans Art Depot…a magical place day or night!

If you’ve never done Rotterdam definitely go whilst the art fair is on there’s just so so much to see…incredible museums,galleries, bars, views to die for oh and great cheeeeese!

I visited the new Fenix Museum of Migration yesterday featuring the most amazing ‘Tornado’ double-helix staircase by led by Ma Yansong
The detail of the wooden staircase and the polished metal is amazing…the top floor giving incredible views of Rotterdam…a must see if your in Rotterdam.
