🌸🥈 Silver in Harrogate in Bloom! 🥈🌸

Absolutely delighted to have been awarded Silver in this year’s Harrogate in Bloom! 🌿✨

So much time, care and love goes into creating and maintaining our garden, so it’s incredibly rewarding to have that effort recognised.

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped, supported and encouraged me along the way. 💚

Proud of what we’ve achieved — and already thinking about how we can make it even better next year! 🌺🌼🌱

Dear Trish & Jim in Aberdeen🪴 Thank you so much for the beautiful gardening book. I honestly can’t tell you how touched I was to receive it. It is such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture, and it meant more to me than you probably realise.

It was a real pleasure having you stay, and the fact that you thought of me afterwards has made me quite emotional. I shall treasure the book and think of you whenever I’m in the garden, watching things grow and enjoying the little moments.

Thank you, truly, for your kindness and for leaving such a lovely memory behind. It was so very thoughtful of you. 🌿❤️

It’s disheartening to provide lovely white, fluffy towels and see the state they’re sometimes left in.

At home, people see the cost, effort, and consequence of ruining something. In a bed & breakfast, the towel feels almost like a disposable part of the room.
Add in things like makeup, fake tan, hair products, and the assumption that hotel/bnb laundry can handle anything, and standards can slip 🤔

I think I may have a marigold problem… 🌼😂

It started with “I’ll just get a few.”

Then it became, “They’ll look nice over there.”

Then, “Well, I can’t leave just one tray behind.”

Now my garden looks like marigolds have staged a full-scale takeover, and honestly… I’m not even mad about it. 🧡💛

The bees are delighted, the neighbours probably think I’ve opened a marigold sanctuary, and I’ve officially accepted that there is no such thing as too many marigolds.

Anyone else accidentally bought “just a few” plants this year? 🤣🌼 ❤️
