From 5th October, we will be closed Mondays & Tuesday and open as normal Wednesday - Sunday!
It is with a heavy heart that we have made a decision after many, many years of being open seven days a week…
We’ve decided that from Monday 5th October, The Queen’s Head will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Before anyone starts panicking - we are NOT closing the pub!
This is something we’ve been thinking about for quite some time, and it really hasn’t been an easy decision to make. The Queen’s Head means so much to us, and we know how much it means to so many of you too.
But sometimes you have to stop and look at things a little differently.
Lou has been working very long, very hard hours at the pub for many years, and whilst we wouldn’t change the journey we’ve had for the world, we’ve reached a point where we feel we need to slow down a little and find a better balance between work and life.
The pub will still be very much here, the doors will still be open, and we’ll still be doing what we love - just with two days a week to step away, catch our breath and spend a little more time enjoying life outside of the pub.
For those staying with us, our rooms will still be available on Mondays and Tuesdays, and breakfast will still be served as normal. However, the kitchen and bar will be closed for the remainder of the day on these days.
And there is some exciting news to go alongside it…
Our brand new menu launches on Wednesday 7th October! 🍽️
We’re really looking forward to sharing it with you and hope you’ll love it as much as we do.
And finally, we really do want to say thank you.
Thank you to every person who has walked through our doors over the years. To our regulars, our locals, our families, our visitors, the people who pop in every week and those who only visit every now and then. Thank you for the conversations, the laughs, the celebrations, the Sunday lunches, the pints at the bar and for simply choosing to spend your time with us.
We genuinely wouldn’t still be here without you.
The Queen’s Head has always been about people and community, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a wonderful little village.
Here’s to slowing down just a little, enjoying life a little more, and continuing to make The Queen’s Head a place you love coming back to. ❤️
