YHA Hartington is a magnificent manor house standing in its own extensive grounds and dating back to the 1350's. It offers great comfort within an historic context; boasting oak panelling, stove fires, squishy sofas and a warm welcome from our dedicated staff team. Refurbished to a very high standard, this 4-star location offers quality accommodation with numerous small rooms, including several d

ouble and twins. The family bunk rooms are all fully ensuite, along with our single and 2-bedded rooms. For that extra special occasion there is a luxury fully ensuite, two-storey apartment for couples known as ‘The Roost’, with galleried bedroom, lounge & diner. The Hall offers all visitors an extensive range of facilities including comfortable lounges, games room, drying room, study rooms, and landscaped gardens with an Adventure Playground, Beer Garden, Pet’s Area, Wildlife Garden, and outdoor chess. The bar sells a wide range of alcohol including cask ales. All dishes are freshly prepared in house.

Days out from the hostel - Youlgreave river walk.
Only a few minutes drive from the hostel is very calm and relaxing walk along the river in the valley, just below Youlgrave village. There is even wild swimming spot for those not afraid of cold water. Youlgreave is also one of the iconic Peak District villages, so it's definitely worth taking the stroll through the village and maybe even pop in to Fountain View Bakery, which is run by our partners at YHA Youlgreave

We are very proud to announce that over next five months we will have pop up music events in the hostel.
First concert is this Friday!
Each event is free to attend. There will be food & drinks available at the bar and fingers crossed for good weather to be able to deliver it in our amazing gardens!

Did you know that we are perfect for motorbike trip with overnight or just a pit stop. We are open all year around, have a good selection of private rooms, bar with food & drinks available all day, drying room if weather is less kind and off road parking.
We are looking forward to see you soon!
