BIG NEWS - it’s been a brilliant adventure and we’ve met some lovely people but on 19 June we will close the front door for the last time and will then check out ourselves. We are off on a new adventure. Thank you for all your support, lovely comments and generous reviews. If you’d like a final stay we are busy but it would be lovely to see you.

Well today we had a proper day off and managed a walk that normally we advise guests to do. The Quay south to Speke’s Mill Mouth then a lovely cream tea (shared!) at before back via Stoke. Sun in the sky, flowers on the cliffs and swallows diving everywhere. Wonderful!

Guests will know that there is frequently filming around here but this should provide a little hit of North Devon. ‘The Long Call’ starts on ITV later this month. Better still get in touch and come and visit again to feel the autumnal wind in your hair, the sea spray in your face and finally the log burner on your toes.

Lovely but what a sea that little one has to deal with!

We’d an early morning visitor up the slipway this morning. He made his way safely back into the sea shortly afterwards.

That time of year again or perhaps just an excuse to cool off but the brilliant retained fire and rescue team were down practising tonight. Great fun and way too exciting for the dog!

We were busy with guests’ breakfasts so Ruby couldn’t make it out to see the recycling guys, so they left her biscuit for her 💕 What great guys!

The evening light through the young tree leaves and old glass in our house literally brings this gorgeous .morgan.art to life. It was a surprise birthday present a couple of years back and Georgia was in on the secret. Great present.

Little trip to Hartland Quay this evening just because. Looking good with the sea thrift coming on and the Atlantic putting on a good show! (Technically it’s the Celtic Sea but Atlantic Ocean sounds so much appropriate as it crashes in.)

Another glorious morning. Looking back into the garden today as there were deer about when the dog needed to go out. So grateful to live here and looking forward to sharing with guests.
