🏛️ Did you know Beauport Holiday Park is home to a hidden piece of Victorian history?

Tucked away within the park stands the beautiful Lady Mary Montgomerie Memorial, built around 1855 by Sir Charles Montolieu Lamb in memory of his beloved wife, Lady Mary Montgomerie, who passed away in 1848.

The elegant domed temple was erected as a lasting tribute to her, with the inscription: “A Tribute of Affection and Gratitude to Lady Mary Montgomerie” engraved around the structure. More than 170 years later, it remains a touching reminder of love, loss and remembrance.

Independent bars, amazing restaurants, the iconic East Hill Cliff Railway, and miles of beaches to explore — all packed with character and coastal charm.

Whether it’s fish & chips on the seafront, sunset drinks, or wandering the historic streets, Hastings is right on your doorstep 🏖️

Do you know what these tall buildings are in Hastings? 🎣

They were originally built to help fishermen protect their gear!

They started popping up in the 16th century. But by the 1800s, space on the beach ran out, so instead of spreading out, they built up! Much of the layout of the stores you see today is the same as it was in the 1850s.

Beside the huts is the East Hill Cliff Railway, the UK’s steepest funicular, opening in 1902 and still running today.

Good food, great entertainment, lots of laughs, and so many amazing memories made with family and friends. The weather definitely showed up for us too — hope nobody got too burnt! 😅🌞
