Cardfields Cardfields is a large Victorian country house available for hire for schools and groups and private hire for your wedding, birthday or celebration party.

Cardfields is a large Victorian country house built at the turn of the 20th century and set across five acres in the Essex countryside with beautiful views across the River Chelmer. Surrounded by arable farmland, we are perfectly placed to provide recreational and educational use for schools and community groups and have excellent facilities for private hire. We’ve hosted weddings, anniversaries and birthday parties. We can't wait to host your next event!

With a fully equipped conference room, 11 comfortable bedrooms, and plenty of outdoor space, there's everything you need for a productive and refreshing stay. Outside, enjoy our pond, gardens, and friendly chickens, or get active with a BMX track and a football pitch that can also be transformed into a tennis court. Indoors, unwind in the games room, and in the evenings, gather around the fire pit for a relaxed and memorable way to end the day.
