A big thank you to the Hawes Yarnbombers who have created this beautiful piece of yarnbombing, located outside Laburnum House Hawes, come take a look. In support of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

150th Anniversary of the Settle to Carlisle Railway

The Settle Carlisle Railway CRP is marking a significant milestone in 2026, celebrating 150 years of passenger services. The arrival of the Hawes Branch Line also brought the ability for freight to move freely across the region and further afield, as well as the railway telegraph and postal services.
Hawes boasted the only Branch Line on this Main Line Railway.
