Step back in time and enjoy a day of vintage fun on Monday 4 May!

In conjunction with the Yorkshire Dales Classic Car Club, we’re pleased to announce plans to hold our first classic vehicle rally.

Enjoy vintage vehicles on display at Leeming Bar and Scruton stations, live music, food & drink, and trains running between Scruton, Leeming Bar, Bedale and Leyburn all day!

Take the train between stations, visit all the displays and join us for a perfect nostalgic day out for all ages!

Tickets are available to buy now, for our 2026 'Wensleydale Fryer' fish and chips trains!❗Early booking is advised❗

Places are limited and we have already sold 27% of available tickets.

Experience a scenic journey through the Yorkshire Dales whilst enjoying locally supplied fish and chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and unlimited tea or coffee served at your table.

Combining traditional fish and chips with a train journey through spectacular Dales scenery, the Wensleydale Fryer is a perfect way to spend an afternoon!

The service begins on Saturday 28 March and the diesel-hauled train will depart Leeming Bar at 1.30pm for Leyburn. The cost is £37.50 per adult and £17.50 for children and includes the rail ticket. The journey lasts around two hours.

A great evening yesterday at the Hawes Christmas lights switch-on. Today we are all ready for the festive season and to welcome our guests at Miss Burrow’s House. 🤩🤩All shows are run by a team of brilliant and enthusiastic volunteers and Wensleydale Show is just the same. 🤩🤩

We are seeking a handful more volunteers to help us in the upcoming fortnight with the show-set up and take down. The key dates are listed below and if you are able to give us just a few hours to help the show we would so appreciate it as the more hands we have the more the load is shared.
