☀️ ☀️ ☀️ heaven is a place on earth? We’d commend Hawes and the stunningly beautiful countryside around it as that such place.

Here’s an example of the walks you can do from Heart of Hawes Holiday Cottage. 6.75 miles circular walk from the cottage past Hawes Waterfall taking the Pennine Way National Trail north out of Hawes over Haylands Bridge, to Hardraw (Green Dragon Inn and Hardraw Force), then onwards to Cotter Force. Track back a little to cross the River Ure, then over Appersett Bridge, up to Appersett Viaduct, crossing to Ashes, then into Hawes down the main street back to the cottage.

I did this on Wednesday, there’s plenty of water in the waterfalls ready for the warm sunny dry spell forecast over the next 10 days.

We just love the countryside round Hawes. It is paradise, just so natural, stunning views….great for walking and running.

Here’s today’s 4.2 mile run / walk route around Hawes and Gayle keeping to the south of the River Ure. Amazing what you see….you just relax and breathe. And yes it started off dry but has finished a bit damp.

Our final summer availability at the highest rated Airbnb holiday cottage in the Yorkshire Dales National Park;

Looking for a premium quality cottage, in a most beautiful part of the world? A holiday that offers the chance to breathe, be at one with beautiful countryside and to enjoy all the dales have to offer?

May is now sold out, just six nights left in June, still a couple of July weeks, and late August availability (including the August bank holiday weekend) and the first week of September.

We don’t sell on price, we appeal as a high quality cottage with a feeling of space inside , well presented and furnished to high standards, impeccably clean, and in a perfect location (quiet, yet in the centre of Hawes with amenities close at hand, and the Pennine Way National Trail passes the cottage).
