The best place we’ve stayed in Yorkshire so far!
We’ve been back and forth to Yorkshire through the year, exploring the county and walking the Pennine Way. The House at Hawes was the loveliest and most luxurious place we’ve stayed. We have stayed at larger, grand places, but we loved the intimate boutique feel. The design of the whole place, the detail, everything about the place exudes charm, comfort and luxury. The hosts, Fiona & Tim gave us the warmest welcome we’d had in the dales too. Friendly, welcoming, respectful, and it’s clear the business is a real passion project for them and they take pride in doing it brilliantly. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, again, the quality and the detail was fabulous throughout our stay. Tim is an absolute natural with his guests…effortlessly cool, funny and charming. Stay here…You will not be disappointed!

Tips for other travellers
We enjoyed the Dales museum across the road, walking through the town itself, and the scenic drive through Swaledale when we left and ventured further north was truly stunning.
