The Forties Weekend in Haworth is Going Ahead in 2025!!

The popular Haworth 1940's weekend ceased in 2023 but was loved by all who visited from across the UK and further afield. Now in 2025, the KWVR will be launching an all new 1940's event full of atmosphere, Living history and nostalgia all along the railway. Spread over two days and multiple stations, you'll see a vibrant representation of the 40's period including the colourful side, the military aspect and a celebration of the community spirit of the time.

A must place to visit in Haworth. The Old Parsonage has been restored and most of the artifacts and furnishings belonged to the Brontë family. Pieces have come “home” gradually over the years.
We visited it recently and it feels like the Brontë family are still there. It’s a 10 minute walk from Maple Leaf Cottage.

This event takes place in the village of Oxenhope, the next village south of Haworth. A lovely old mill town with plenty of charm and character. You can walk to it from Maple Leaf Cottage.
