On St Patrick's Day in 1777, Patrick Brontë was born! 🍀

Patrick became Perpetual Curate for Haworth Church in 1820, a move that was the catalyst for the young Brontë children.

Patrick held the position in Haworth for 41 years and was beloved by the community. As he aged, he was assisted by a succession of curates, including Charlotte's husband, Arthur Bell Nicholls. He was a campaigner on a wide range of religious, social and political issues.
