The Black Bull in Haworth, West Yorkshire has long been associated with the Brontë family. It's pictured here in May 2026.
Branwell Brontë was the only brother of the novelists and poets, Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Brontë. Branwell was also a writer but never achieved the same level of success as his sisters. He was known to frequent the inn, and some believe his ghost now haunts his former favourite drinking place.
The inn dates back to the 17th century with the current building dating from the mid 18th century.
Have you ever had a spooky encounter here?
