*** COMING SOON. ***
Since being a small child, I have been absolutely fascinated by the Brontes. This fascination grew when I studied 'Wuthering Heights' at O' level, and our class fell in love with Heathcliff, much to our teacher's disgust! Finally, after many years of wanting to visit Haworth; home of the Brontes, James and I went there on holiday. It is a gorgeous village, full of interesting little shops, pubs and restaurants, all set on a beautiful cobbled high street. This is beautifully decorated at Christmas and is not to be missed. As well as the Brontes' parsonage, there is a gorgeous steam railway (from 'The Railway Children'). It is also home to many events throughout the year. Hebden Bridge is a picturesque 20 minute journey away, across the moors.
Since that first visit, we have been to Haworth each year. At the beginning of 2025, we came across 'Wildfell Cottage'. From the moment we walked through the door, we fell in love with it. It is an 18th century house, set in a small close, situated just off the picturesque main street. The cottage has been beautifully kept for the past 6 years by Peter and Wayne. They have paid so much attention to detail, lovingly caring for it, and we hope to follow on from them, doing the same to make it a home away from home.
The cottage will be available to rent from the beginning of June, 2025, for visits of 3 days upwards. We hope that you will enjoy a relaxing stay there, and love its cosy atmosphere as much as we do.
