🚨 Beach Safety Reminder – Following Recent Cornwall Tragedies 🚨

Two people have sadly lost their lives in separate incidents at Cornwall beaches this month, highlighting the dangers of the sea and the importance of knowing how to stay safe around water.

Even on warm days, cold water shock, rip currents, and strong tides can catch swimmers off guard – especially at beaches without lifeguard cover.

✅ If you’re heading to the beach:

Choose a lifeguarded beach and swim between the red and yellow flags

Learn how to spot and escape rip currents

Wear the right gear for the water temperature

Always know the tide times

In an emergency, call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard
