Well… that escalated quickly! 😂🚐🚐🚐

We had a very full little campsite the other day! We were taking our own campervans away, so had moved them out of their usual spots to get them packed and ready to go.

Turns out it was perfect timing, because we suddenly had lots of people wanting to bring their own vans! With the extra spaces we’d accidentally created, we managed to squeeze most of them in. 😂🙌

We even went a little international for the night! 🌍 We had two German visitors, one Italian and one British — all enjoying their little corner of Cornwall together. 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇮🇹🇬🇧

And after talking about it for ages, we finally have signs for our van spaces! 🎉🚐 We’ve named each one after our beautiful local beaches, which seemed only right for our little Cornish campsite. 🏖️💙

We absolutely LOVE seeing our tiny site looking so busy — vans dotted around, everyone relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. ❤️

And once it got dark, the evening entertainment was provided by our resident owls, hooting away across the fields. 🦉🌙

No nightclub, no traffic, no entertainment team… just happy campers, Cornish countryside and a few noisy owls. 😂🥰

You know those “just one drink” beach bar evenings that turn into magic? 🌅🍹☀️

“Shall we just pop down for an hour or so?” 🤔

5 hours later… 🤣
It’s almost dark, they’re about to close and we finally decide that yes… we probably should go home! 😂🍻

Cornish summer evenings are just far too easy to get carried away with ❤️🌊

🐛 We had another visitor today! 😂

Meet the Large Yellow Underwing caterpillar… although, if I’m honest, I didn’t have the faintest idea what it was! 🤷‍♀️

Thankfully, ChatGPT came to the rescue and identified our little wanderer. Apparently these chunky caterpillars spend this time of year wandering around looking for somewhere to burrow into the ground before turning into one of the UK’s largest moths. Who knew?! 🦋

It measured about 5 cm long and decided our wall was the perfect route for its adventure! 🚶‍♂️

If ChatGPT’s identification is correct, it won’t be a moth until next summer!

The last picture is what it’ll look like next year if it survives the winter! 🤞🏻🥰🦋

We’re becoming quite the wildlife hotspot here at Cornwall Aire… I wonder who’ll check in next? 😄🐦🦔🐞

What an amazing weekend for us at Cornwall Aire for Campervans enjoying the fabulous rockoysterfestival in Rock near Padstow! 🌞🎶

The atmosphere was incredible, with amazing performances from scissorsisters and koolandthegang keeping everyone singing and dancing all weekend. 💃🕺

What a fantastic festival! We really are so lucky here in Cornwall to have so many brilliant local festivals to enjoy. Already looking forward to the next one! ❤️✨

🐾🚐 Good news, van-lifers with four-legged co-pilots!

We've opened up another space that's perfect if you're bringing your own van and your doggie. More room for wagging tails, muddy paws, and all your adventures together! 🐶💛

As a bonus, it's also much easier to park if you're driving a longer vehicle—because squeezing into tight spaces is only fun when it's your dog trying to fit on your lap! 😂
