Beachside Holiday Park is a family-run holiday park specialising in family holidays right on the beach in St Ives Bay, Cornwall. With a less commerical environment, Beachside is the perfect location for a short break or summer beach holiday. We offer a wide range of accommodation, from economical chalets through to luxurious seafront lodges. We also offer touring and camping pitches, suitable for caravans, motorhomes or tents, with or without electric hook-up. On site facilities include a seasonal family restaurant & bar, outdoor heated swimming pool and shop. We also have a surf school, games room, launderette and children's playgrounds on site. Beachside Holiday Park is open from Easter to the end of October.

🌊 A Lighthouse that has guided generations: Godrevy Lighthouse

Standing proudly off the coast, Godrevy Lighthouse has watched over St Ives Bay for more than 170 years – and remains a familiar sight from Beachside Holiday Park.
Built by Trinity House following numerous shipwrecks around Godrevy Island and Stones, the lighthouse helped guide ships safely through this challenging stretch of coastline.

Its famous white tower also inspired Virginia Woolf’s To the Lighthouse, drawing on her childhood holidays in St Ives.

Today, Godrevy remains an iconic symbol of Cornwall’s maritime heritage and its connection with the sea.

Next time you enjoy the view from Beachside Holiday Park, look across the bay and appreciate this remarkable landmark. 🌅

We strongly recommend taking out our Cancellation Plan when you book with us, giving you extra peace of mind should your plans need to change.

For just £25 per unit, per week, the Cancellation Plan can be added to your deposit at the time of booking. If you then need to cancel due to ill health or any of the specified reasons outlined in our Terms & Conditions, you will not lose your deposit or balance payment.

We hope you never need to use it, but having the right cover in place can give you one less thing to worry about. 💙

The Secrets of Gwithian Towans’ Wartime Past

The beautiful coastline around Beachside Holiday Park holds more than stunning views – it also has a fascinating wartime history.

During WWII, Gwithian Towans formed part of Cornwall’s coastal defences, with gun emplacements, pillboxes, landmines and anti-invasion obstacles protecting the three-mile stretch of beach.

Tracks through the dunes, including the historic “Old Slipway”, were used by military vehicles to support the defences. A nearby decoy site also helped protect Hayle’s port and industrial areas.

Today, the dunes are peaceful once again, offering walks, wildlife, surfing and family adventures. But look a little closer and you’ll discover the stories of those who helped protect our coastline. 🌅
