We are a family run holiday agency and offer a friendly and personal service to our customers, many of whom return every year. Our situation is probably one of the best in Cornwall - set amongst 40 acres of grassland and seafront dunes, looking over 3 miles of golden sands at St. You will be within a short drive of many exciting tourist attractions and interesting places to visit. The world renowned Eden Project and Isles of Scilly are excellent day trips, while theme parks and outdoor activities are close at hand.

Did you know that families have been making memories with Toms Holidays at Riviere Towans for generations? 🤍

The properties have evolved over the years—from traditional vintage beach huts to some of the gorgeous new look chalets—but that magical, relaxed atmosphere hasn't changed a bit. Many of our guests who stayed here as children are now bringing their own children, grandchildren (and great-grandchildren!) to explore the exact same dunes and discover our rock pools. 🌊🏄‍♂️🐙👙🏖

We cannot believe it, but **Surf Amnesty September** has officially come to an end... almost! Because the response from the Hayle and Riviere Towans community has been so staggeringly massive, we are keeping our drop-off hub open for **ONE FINAL WEEKEND**!

Take a look at these photos—our custom surf shack hub and our reception are absolutely packed to the rafters with incredible donations! From top-quality surfboards and bodyboards to a mountain of wetsuits, boots, and gloves, your generosity has completely blown us and Wave Project away.

But we aren't crossing the finish line just yet. If you have been meaning to clear out that "shed of shame," raid the garage, or empty your car boot after a summer on the water, **THIS IS YOUR ABSOLUTE LAST CHANCE!**

Whether it's a perfectly good board you just don't ride anymore or a winter suit with completely ripped seams and a broken zip—bring it down!

Remember, this is a **100% JUDGEMENT-FREE ZONE**. No questions asked. Just drop it off at our wooden shack outside the Toms Holidays office and walk away with a clean conscience. 🤙

Every single item donated over the next 48 hours will go directly into the hands of The Wave Project to fund life-changing youth surf therapy or get sustainably upcycled into cool mats and bags. 100% good cause, zero landfill.

🤯 WE ARE HALFWAY THROUGH SEPTEMBER AND YOU GUYS ARE INCREDIBLE! 🏄‍♂️🌊
The response to our Surf Amnesty September drive has been absolutely unreal. The racks in our hub are bursting, the tubs are full, and the community spirit here in Hayle is riding high!

A massive thank you to everyone who has raided their sheds and cleared out their wardrobes to support Wave Project so far. But we aren’t stopping yet—we need one final push!

🎯 Our Target: 50 Wetsuits + as many surfboards and bodyboards as possible!
📈 Where we stand: We are doing incredibly well, but we need your help to smash that 50-suit milestone before October arrives.

If you’ve got an old steamer, a thinned-out shorty or an outgrown board gathering dust in the garage, now is the time to give it a second life.
Remember, our custom-built surf shack right outside the Toms Holidays reception desk at Riviere Towans is a completely JUDGMENT-FREE ZONE.

There’s something about Cornwall in the ‘ber months… 🍂🌊

September, October, November and December bring a different kind of Cornwall.

Quieter beaches. Crisp coastal walks. Great waves. Forests full of colour. Cosy pubs when the weather turns a little wild. And plenty of excuses to wrap up warm and get outside.

You might spend the morning walking along the coast, stop for a hot chocolate (or something stronger!) and then find a cosy corner somewhere for the afternoon. Cornwall has some bewitching Halloween shenanigans going on and enchanting festive events to visit too, so the choice is yours!

And when the day’s done, there’s nothing quite like heading back to your chalet, kicking off your muddy boots and settling in.

No crowds. No rush. Just a bit more time to enjoy Cornwall at its own pace. 🤎

A poignant afternoon in Hayle for the Rick Rescorla tribute parade and memorial service.

Marking 25 years since 9/11, our town came together to honour one of Hayle’s own. As Head of Security for Morgan Stanley, Rick Rescorla had spent years preparing emergency evacuation plans, running drills, and flatly ignoring official orders to stay put when the South Tower was hit. His tactical brilliance, decisive leadership, and refusal to leave anyone behind saved over 2,500 lives. He used Cornish songs to steady nerves and keep the stairwells moving in an orderly, panic-free evacuation before going back in to search for others -making the ultimate sacrifice.

Seeing the community walk from Penpol School down to Penpol Terrace was a powerful reminder that true heroism, vision, and sacrifice are never forgotten. Proud to share a few moments captured today. 📸❤️

St Ives can be tricky to park in on a busy day, so a great option is to park at St Erth and take one of the prettiest train rides in the UK! 💙

In just a few minutes, you get stunning views across the estuary and St Ives Bay, dropping you right by the beach— stress-free!

❤️ A beautiful tribute in Hayle ❤️

If you’re staying in Hayle this September, make sure you take a stroll along King George’s Walk to see something truly special.

Local volunteers have created an incredible display of 2,977 poppy-decorated shells — one for every life lost on 9/11 — in memory of Hayle-born hero Rick Rescorla, whose extraordinary bravery helped save thousands of lives that day.

And on Friday 11th, there’ll also be a community parade celebrating Rick Rescorla, travelling from his childhood school to his memorial.

A really moving piece of local history and a wonderful community effort. ❤️ If you’re in Hayle, it’s well worth taking the time to see the ribbon of poppies. A huge shout out to The Veterans Charity and the volunteers for this installation.

🤯 WOW! What a phenomenal start to Surf Amnesty September! 🏄‍♂️🌊We are only one week into our drive for Wave Project , and our fantastic Hayle and Riviere Towans community has completely blown us away. Look at our donation hub filling up already!
A massive, massive THANK YOU to everyone who has raided their garages, cleared out their sheds, and dropped off gear so far. We’ve already taken in:
👉 A brilliant stack of surfboards
👉 Multiple bodyboards
👉 A huge pile of wetsuits, boots, and gloves!

Every single item brought to us is officially saved from landfill. The Wave Project team will be fixing up the repairable gear to sell in their Surf Therapy Shop (funding life-changing mental health programs for young people), and upcycling the rest into sustainable mats and bags.
📣 Still want to get involved? The amnesty is open ALL MONTH LONG!
📣If you’re checking out this week, heading down to Gwithian for a surf, or just doing an early autumn clean-up at home, bring your old gear down to the Toms Holidays reception.
