The White Lion Hotel is a traditional coaching inn; with exposed timber and masonry, an abundance of comfortable corners to hide in, and always a warm and friendly atmosphere. Set on a riverside location in central Hebden Bridge, the inn has always been well known for fine, yet informal and relaxed country 'pub' dining, and its extensive choice of wines and cask ales. All of which can be enjoyed t

hroughout the year, whether that be in front of a roaring fire, or in one of our scenic riverside cobbled courtyards. Surrounded by true Yorkshire history and the stunning countryside of the deep ravined valleys of Calderdale; the area is popular with walkers, cyclist, country lovers, and those just in need of a contrast to a hectic lifestyle. The countryside can be easily accessed by foot straight from the doorstep of the inn, and that same doorstep has frequently provided a place of respite to many attempting the Pennine Way. Also within easy access to the rail and motorway networks, and just far enough away from the vibrant cities of Manchester and Leeds; the inn is centrally based for business and leisure. The rooms within the main building boast Victorian roll-top baths and deep luxurious colours, and are complimented by family rooms and courtyard cottages - with the riverside literally at your front door. Dated 1657, the White Lion Hotel is reputed to be the oldest building in the beautiful town of Hebden Bridge. The White Lion is hiring! We’re looking for a new Front of House Supervisor as well as a full-time and part-time team members for our Front of House.

One of our fabulous supervisors is moving on to an excellent general manager job opportunity. That means we have a Front of House supervisor position available with trials starting immediately. Full training can and will be provided but a quality experience in hospitality and customer service is essential.

☀️ Front of House Supervisor
38-40 permanent hours a week
4 day working week as standard
Excellent development role within a quality team

We are also searching for some new members of Front of House to join our team. An excellent attitude and ability to welcome our valued guests with great service and attention to detail is essential. As always, full training can and will be provided. All experience levels considered.

☀️ Front of House
Part-time 6-18 hours (candidate depending)
Full-time 32-38 hours (candidate depending)

Competitive rates of pay for both roles with candidate experience considered.

We can’t wait to host you this Christmas whether you’re feasting with family or celebrating with friends. We have a dining option just perfect for you!

Our Festive Fayre menu is in full swing. Two & Three Courses of classic, delicious Christmas dining.

Our Winter Pub Menu serves alongside our festive treats, plating up seasonal dishes made with the best local produce.

Our signature seven-course Tasting Menu still has a few tables left on each night! A Taste of Christmas brings a memorable dining experience to Hebden Bridge this festive season - serving this Saturday 6th December and Saturday 20th December. This event is not to be missed!

Christmas Eve & Boxing Day are two of the busiest days of the year!
