Great base for town and country activities.Basic camping £10.00 / adult/night (concessions for children). The camp site is on a working sheep farm which has been in the family for 50 years. The views are stunning and at night the town looks like a Christmas card twinkling through the trees. We are on the quiet side of the hill but we are within walking distance to town, It's a brisk 10 - 15 minute

walk down to the centre of town and it will take a little longer to walk back. Taxi's are readily available from town to the camp site. There are hot showers,toilets, a campers kitchen with a comfortable indoor social space. There will be the opportunity to buy breakfast, cake etc throughout the weekend. The farm is crisscrossed with public footpaths and if you fancy getting away from it all there's a lovely circular walk to Stoodley Pike and back taking in the moors including Bell Hole where the famous Cragg Coiners once lived. Out little Honesty Box is stocked with home-made cake, free range eggs, Just Jenny;s farm-made ice cream and a kettle to make hot drinks. The farm is crisscrossed with public footpaths and if you fancy getting away from it all there's a lovely circular walk to Stoodley Pike and back taking in the moors including Bell Hole where the famous Cragg Coiners once lived.
