We are trying to preserve, restore and regenerate with help from volunteers. Friends of Hermitage Park started life in 2011 with a handful of dedicated volunteers and a vision for a restored Hermitage Park fit for the 21st century. Working in partnership with Argyll and Bute Council we were awarded a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of £2.33 million in January 2016. Further funding came from Argyll and

Bute Council £280k, Sustrans £300k, Armed Forces Covenant £253k, War Memorial Trust £60k and the Friends raised £20k. Many smaller grants have also been secured for specific projects such as a wildlife hotel in one of the old trees. The project has now completed and the maintenance of the refurbished Park is guaranteed by Argyll and Bute Council for 15 years as part of the HLF conditions. If you would like to get involved in supporting the park the Friends group is always looking for new members, free to join, and volunteers to help keep the park in good condition and to develop activities in the park that will be of benefit to the community. Please contact us via messenger if you are interested.

Help us fulfill Dolly's dream of getting more books into the hands of more children in Helensburgh!
We are a local partner for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which provides a free book every single month for any child aged 0-5 who lives in Helensburgh. As our part of the programme we pay £26 per child per year - we raise money mainly through our BooK Nook sales but you can also help us directly:
Three ways to donate:
(1) Pop into Helensburgh Community Hub with a cash or card donation
(2) Donate via our page on the Imagination Library website - just go onto the website and search for 'Helensburgh Imagination Library' and there is a donation button on there
(3) Play the Argyll Community Lottery and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library at Helensburgh Community Hub as your good cause to support.
Thank youi so much for supporting children's literacy.
