Our story
Trevassack is a nature lover’s haven nestled in a valley at the top of the Lizard peninsula providing a sheltered, quiet and peaceful location for your holiday in Cornwall with easy access to both the North and South Cornish coasts and places of interest. Falmouth, Porthleven, St Ives and Penzance are all a 20 - 30 minute drive away and Helston, famous for Flora Day (8th May) is 10 minutes. Our location makes us particularly handy for walkers taking on the challenge of walking the Lizard section of the SW Coast Path.
We are open all year but with just one hardstanding accept only one advance booking from November through February as insurance against a wet winter! We welcome families and dogs (and have also had the pleasure of meeting parrots, a tortoise and many cats over the years) with great walking direct from the site, with or without a dog. At least one fenced field is made available for dogs for off lead exercise if owners wish as well as walks around the 28 acre section of the Goonhilly National Nature Reserve, famed for its diverse and unique flora and fauna, adjacent to the CL which we use for summer grazing for the horses and ponies.
The village shop, pub, three restaurants, an arts and crafts gallery and a spa are all within 2 miles. There is also a bus stop half a mile away. It is possible to park off road to catch the bus if you don’t fancy the walk (it is a quiet lane). Various attractions are all within easy reach plus coarse fishing (2.5m), golf (3.5m), various sandy or pebbled beaches with or without cliffs (closest, sandy 3m), and the Helford River with boats for hire and super walks including along Frenchman’s Creek made famous by Daphne du Maurier.
We charge £14.50 p.n. for a pitch with two people with EHU (12kWh p.n. is included in the fee). Free WiFi is available but as we are at the end of a copper line this is realistically only suitable for email or browsing. Additional persons and awnings £1 extra each.
