Situated in a totally peaceful setting, completely unique; we are a mile from Poldhu Cove and Mullion Golf Club, relax and enjoy a

round while embracing the sea air and magnificent views of the Atlantic. The farm is set within rolling countryside and trees and provides a natural sun trap. We have an outdoor heated swimming pool, available from May to September (weather permitting). We are fortunate to be close to a huge range of National Trust beaches and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Kyanace Cove is only a few miles away, Dollar and Church Coves are next to Poldhu, where several scenes of Poldark were filmed. Flambards and the Seal Sanctuary are within 5 miles.

A happy sight for us to see. This year we have , again , seen even less Swallows return, and those that have have been terrorised by the Magpies when hatching the chicks.
In past years this line would be full of fledglings and their parents readying for the long flight home .
It makes a very happy moment when I saw 5 in a row, but 2 soared up into the air when the camera came out .

I am running a day late! but welcome September .
September is a month of change, both subtle and with pace..
It’s the lingering between summer and Autumn,. usually a time when we begin to notice a few leaves dropping , cooler mornings and dusk falling earlier but this year the leaves have been tumbling and changing colour during August due to the high temperatures we’ve had and the trees have struggled to stay intact. Daily walks in the woodland have been arid and the floor is crunchy underfoot. It’s been a strange one, let’s see what Autumn brings.

This weekend is a busy one for places to be and the Witchball b**r & c***r festival is one you won’t want to miss.
Further afield it is Falmouth Week , bus journeys are recommended, it will be pretty packed

August has drifted in on a slight breeze, taking the heat down a notch or two . We hope everyone is managing in this hot spell, the ground here is tinderbox dry and nature and the plants are struggling. The lavender is over yet again so I’m choosing to not even look at it .
But as the saying goes”Make hay while the sun shines “ and the sunshine at least puts a smile on faces .
