That’s a wrap! The summer holidays are over for another year. It was a hot one! We’ve navigated BBQ and fire pit bans and some pretty hard ground at times but it was a great season all the same.

Huge thanks to all of our guests from near and far, old and new. We’ve loved having you all and hope to welcome you again next year.

(And yes, that’s a mojito on the beach from our friends at Mora Cafe Cornwall 🍋‍🟩 Summer highlight!)

📢 Important Guest Update: BBQs & Fires 📢

Following the Government announcement about disposable BBQs being temporarily banned, we have now taken the decision to formally ban all firepits and the use of BBQ’s (disposable & charcoal/coal). We appreciate most guests had already taken this action themselves.

Here is what this means for your stay:
🚫 Site-Wide Ban: BBQs cannot be used anywhere on our grounds until further notice.
🚫 No use of fire pits at all.

We know outdoor cooking is a big part of enjoying your getaway, but keeping Silver Sands, the surrounding nature, local community and our guests safe is our top priority.

Regardless of any precautions you feel you can introduce to prevent the risk of a fire, we must ensure this ban applies to all guests. We are surrounded by fields of crop, livestock and long dry grass that one ember could cause devastating carnage. We have already experienced one wildfire in close proximity to the park during the summer.

Gas BBQs are still permitted, provided they’re used safely.

We really appreciate your understanding while we monitor conditions and will let you know when the restrictions are lifted.
