Absolutely delighted to have been part of the Little Princess Trust's Scavenger Hunt today. Well done to those that took part for raising such a huge amount of money for an amazing charity.

The nights are drawing in and there is a real nip in the air in the evenings, or it could just be me being a wuss!
However, fire lighting time will soon be upon us and our menu is having a bit of a change from next Thursday.

Pop in, if you want to have the Afghan Chicken, pork loin, meal salads or fishcakes before they leave the menu till next year.

Call us on 01981 550273 to reserve a table, or pop in on the off chance.

Don't forget, we do our full menu as a take away, for those evenings you can't be bothered to cook and can't be bothered to get changed after a hard day putting your garden to bed, or a hard day toiling at work. Call to put your order in and time you'd like to pick it up. You could even order a Sunday roast!

Cheers!

We've been nominated for the Good Food Guide's 100 best pubs 2026! 🥰

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to whomever sent in the nomination, that in itself was such a boost this morning. It would mean so much to us and our wonderful colleagues, if our followers could also nominate us. It won't take much of your time, promise!

Click the link below (or copy and paste depending on your operating system), fill in the details and add a few lines why you think we should be included in the guide.

We have the honour of hosting the final night for our lovely diggers, and so we will not be open. We will be open again as normal on Saturday from 5pm.

As it is still hotter than Satan's armpit, we ask for your patience over the next couple of days while temperatures remain so high.

If you decide to sit in the garden, a gentle reminder we do not provide table service except to bring out your food. Everything has to be ordered at the bar to minimise our staff's exposure to the heat.
