We have the honour of hosting the final night for our lovely diggers, and so we will not be open. We will be open again as normal on Saturday from 5pm.

As it is still hotter than Satan's armpit, we ask for your patience over the next couple of days while temperatures remain so high.

If you decide to sit in the garden, a gentle reminder we do not provide table service except to bring out your food. Everything has to be ordered at the bar to minimise our staff's exposure to the heat.

You can now call the pub on 01981 550273. However, for some reason (I'm blaming solar flares and a twisted sense of humour from Vodafone), we can't return calls. So, if we don't answer and you are kind enough to leave a message, please expect a return phone call from a mobile number.

We still don't have a phone but have a temporary mobile number! Hopefully WiFi calling will be available on it soon. Till then, a text might be best including name and booking info.
