Welcome to Pumla, sister yurt to Sky House. Like her sibling, Pumla gives you a place to soothe your senses when you’re feeling overwrought with modern life.

Inside, there’s a bespoke handmade wooden king-size bed waiting for you, along with a wood-burner, a kitchen, and a wet room. You’ll also find books, binoculars and cosy dressing gowns to make settling in easy.

When you want the sunshine or moonlight on your skin, slip into the outside bath - the skies here at Kaya are truly mesmerising.

During the day, you can see for miles from the bath or deck. At night, the skies fill with stars (we sit on the edge of a Dark Sky Reserve so you can really enjoy the majesty away from light pollution).

Pumla is a special place for us; we hope she is for you too.

For those who haven’t met her yet, say ‘molo’ (hello) to Sky House. She may look like a yurt on the outside, but she’s more like a cabin.

Hand-crafted from steam-bent ash and Welsh wool, she truly feels like a cocoon, protecting you from the world’s overstimulation.

Made for 2 adults, Sky House has a bespoke king-sized bed that looks out through wrap-around windows, so you can see the horizon as you wake and a starry landscape as you settle to sleep.

There’s a roll-top bath and private bathroom inside (with robes and towels), as well as an outside shower on the raised decking. And yes, there’s a kitchen... for lazy and effortless breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Relaxing has never felt so easy.

We hope you love her as much as we do. Ps: Book a weekend between now and the end of Oct and we’ll leave you a complimentary bottle of South African bubbly.

Beyond proud to have won a Bronze award in the Best Glamping category last night at The Visit England Tourism Awards. 5 years, 3 units, 2 kids and 1 Visit England Award. Can’t argue with that. Safe to say we are off to a roaring start.

In just over 24 hours we will find out where we have been placed in the tourism awards. It’s beyond surreal and a huge privilege to have got this far. It’s all pedicures and suit fittings here as we prepare to look as good as our spaces!! Some words of encouragement please as we ride these last 24 hours. Anticipation and excitement at an all time high.

It’s that time of year when you genuinely can’t quite believe how glorious it is to live up here in the borderlands of England and Wales. From epic mountain hikes and delicious local food to pure decadence and downtime in our yurts, ‘someday you will dream about today’ as the song says. This week is also a big deal for us as we prepare to find out if we have won this year’s best glamping at the Visit England Tourism Awards. Wish us luck.

Introducing our nearest neighbours!! So exciting to find out who has moved in since we have started guarding this little patch of hillside. Imagine, you could be tucked up in one of our luxurious handmade beds, and meanwhile, all of these guys are tucked up in theirs!! Our yurts are based in 7 acres of land which we have been lovingly tending for the last 5 years. A huge thank you to for this wonderful series of slides showcasing our favourite critters from the 48 diff species captured during her stay.

All you need for some major laze. Sky House bath has incredible views day and night. A huge deck with lazing net and cosy blankets for some late night star gazing.

To all the parents out there. Whilst half term is obviously in many ways a glorious opportunity to spend time with your little ones. For many it can also be a super intense juggling match of balancing work with kids at home. If may not really feel like a holiday at all, rather something you slide out the end of feeling sweaty and having raised your voice more than you had hoped. So if half terms looking to be a touch one, why not book yourself a break to fill yourself back up and have a little you time on the horizon. It can work wonders. At Kaya, it’s all taken care of, seamless, easy and chilled is you can make the most of the little time you have to get away.

Absolutely delighted to have been featured as one of the 15 best Glampsites in the UK for a summer break by it certainly feels pretty perfect up here this evening as we sit watching the rolling Herefordshire hills to the deafening roar of bird song and bleating lambs.
